Family Halloween event in West Lothian!

Family Halloween event in West Lothian!

Polbeth and West Calder Community Garden (PWCCG) volunteers will again be offering a wide range of fun and scary activities in the afternoon and early evening across the site. This year we are also pleased to welcome Ronnie McInnes who has chosen PWCCG as the charity he is supporting for the year ahead. Ronnie is running a 'light painting' activity - we have tried it out and can promise it will be great fun for all. And for those of you feeling energetic, we will have the brand new Smoothie Bike!

See the event poster for details.

NOTE: Take a look at the Facebook page to see what we have been up to and details of upcoming open days and events. We will also post on there if any sessions are not going ahead. https://www.facebook.com/Polbeth-and-West-Calder-Community-Garden-SCIO-228759703817523/

Polbeth and West Calder Community Garden SCIO

Polbeth and West Calder Community Garden SCIO is an award-winning Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. On 28th February 2013 we were awarded charitable status as a SCIO, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. In June 2013 we signed a 5-year lease with West Lothian Council to take on the former Polbeth Market Garden site. We recently negotiated a 25 year lease to further develop the site. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for local people, schools and community groups to grow fruit and vegetables and take part in a range of outdoor leisure activities. We are a group working to develop a community garden for everyone from Polbeth and West Calder and the surrounding areas in West Lothian, and we regularly discuss with local people their ideas about how the garden should be used. The project is always developing and new volunteers are always welcome. You can find out more by visiting Polbeth and West Calder Community Garden SCIO on Facebook.
